TRENTO SMART CITY WEEK, ALL THE NUMBERS

Monday, 23 September 2019

The third edition of Trento Smart City closed yesterday after a week of focus on Trentino's innovation network. There were 8 days of initiatives, round tables, workshops, presentations and conferences to understand, explain and test what it means to be "Citizens in the digital age".

Among the strengths of the event the possibility for citizens to obtain SPID (Public Digital Identity System). There were 920 citizens who in 3 days activated their personal credentials to access digital services. The digital identity tool, valid in Italy but also in all European countries, allows operating in an easy and secure way with the whole Public Administration, without having to go in person to the offices.

Here are all the numbers from the event.

There were 8 days dedicated to the event, 3 sections: Digital protagonists, #Fuoripiazza, Digital Village in which were proposed Coffee and digital aperitifs, Demos, Workshops, Presentations and Digital School.

There were more than 140 events, 180 speakers involved, 4 talk rooms, 6 exhibition stands at the Digital Village in Piazza Duomo set up by the Municipality of Trento, the Autonomous Province of Trento, Azienda sanitaria, Trentino Salute, Trentino Network, Fondazione Bruno Kessler, the University of Trento, the Consortium of Trentino Municipalities and the MUSE, which saw an overall influx of about 16,000 visitors, assisted by more than 200 employees of the entities that took turns at the Digital Village.

At the TrentinoSalute4.0 and Apss stands, 423 citizens installed the TreC_FSE App and over 50 the Salute+ App. At the Apss stand more than 100 people were able to visit the Proton Therapy Centre "virtually" through the ProtonVR viewers and cardboards. The"real" visits to the Centre sold-out: 60 people were able to discover, guided by doctors and technicians of the Centre, the highly specialized structure for cancer treatment.

Trento Smart City Week is a project shared by 8 promoters: Municipality of Trento, Autonomous Province of Trento, University of Trento, IEEE - Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Consorzio dei Comuni Trentini, Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Azienda Provinciale per i Servizi Sanitari and MUSE.
