How to access treatment

Proton therapy is a type of treatment for tumours that the Health Authority of the Autonomous Province of Trento makes available to patients authorized by their respective Health Authorities.

An evaluation request for possible proton therapy treatment may be sent by the family physician, specialist, or the patient to the Administrative Office of the Proton Therapy Unit as follows:

by filling out the online form
calling the following numbers, from Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 16:00:

- 0461 1953115
sending an email to: protonterapia@apss.tn.it;
visiting the Proton Therapy Unit in Via Al Desert no. 14, during office hours.

The Operating Unit Administrative Office will contact the requester, provide information regarding the medical documentation needed to evaluate the case, communicate the result of the evaluation, and, in the event of acceptance, set an appointment for the first visit.

Documentation received will not be returned.
